Privacy Policy

Starscroll is made by First Matter Code LLC. This policy describes what the app does with your information. The short version: Starscroll has no accounts, no analytics and no servers of its own. What you put into it stays on your device.

What Starscroll uses

• Calendar. With your permission, Starscroll reads your calendars to show your events on its timeline, and writes events you create in the app. Calendar data is read from and written to the calendar on your device and is not sent anywhere by us.
• Location. With your permission, Starscroll uses your location while the app is open to show a weather forecast and to compute the sky over where you are. Your location is sent to Apple's WeatherKit service to fetch the forecast. We do not store, log or transmit your location ourselves.
• Birth details. If you enter a birth date, time and place, for yourself or for anyone else, Starscroll uses them to compute a birth chart. They are stored only on your device and in your device's app data that Apple shares with the app's widgets. They are never uploaded.
• Notifications. If you turn them on, reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No push service is involved.
• Horoscope. The daily reading is written on your device by Apple Intelligence. Nothing about you is sent to us or to any third party to produce it.
• Purchases. Subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details, and Apple's handling of purchase information is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

What Starscroll does not do

• It does not collect analytics, crash reports or usage data.
• It does not create an account or ask for an email address, name or password.
• It does not contain advertising or third-party tracking of any kind.
• It does not sell, share or transfer your data to anyone.

Data you control

Everything Starscroll stores lives in the app's container on your device. Deleting the app deletes it. Calendar events you created remain in your calendar, where you can remove them. Permissions for calendar, location and notifications can be changed at any time in Settings.

Children

Starscroll is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
